Hardcore bands often form their own record labels. Examples include SST Records, founded by Black Flag guitarist Greg Ginn in 1979. Other notable hardcore labels are Dischord, Epitaph and Touch & Go.
Origins Pussy Hardcore
The word pussy has a lot of different origins, and many of them are pretty racy. It first popped up around the sixteenth century as a synonym for “pocket pouch,” but it didn’t start getting sexual until pornographic films entered society, and then it became an even more potent euphemism for female genitalia.
Pussy hardcore bands tend to be all-male, and that’s no surprise given the scene’s roots in stag cinema, a body of clandestine short pornographic films made during the early two-thirds of the 20th century. These films were shown in men’s clubs like fraternities and used to circumvent censorship laws.
Despite more diversity in the hardcore/punk genre, Harlan says the all-male makeup of bands hasn’t changed much over the years. But he has seen a larger shift in attitudes, with a moratorium on the word “faggot” and the adoption of gender neutral bathrooms.
Genres Pussy Hardcore
Some hardcore bands create a unique sound by drawing from multiple genres to create their music (see: folk-punk or emo-rap). Others focus on sludgy noise punk, crusty grunge or shiny synth-pop tunes. Regardless of what genres are used, most hardcore bands aim to evoke specific emotions and reactions from the listener. Some bands even use hardcore lyrics to convey a message, or to describe the brutality and violence of their scenes.
There are several different genres of pussy hardcore hardcore music, including thrash, grindcore and speedcore. Some of these genres are more violent than others, and some contain explicit sex and gore. These are usually more extreme than hardcore rap, which is often considered to be a softcore subgenre.
Most hardcore genres have a similar style and structure, including the use of drum machines, bass guitars and electric lead guitars. Most of these songs also feature a high tempo and aggressive vocals. Some of these bands are known for their mosh pits, which can be dangerous for those who aren’t prepared for them.
Many hardcore fans enjoy a variety of pussy hardcore genres, and they may also participate in different events to enjoy their favorite bands. Many people like to watch hardcore movies or listen to music from a particular band. Other hardcore fans attend shows to support their favorite band and meet other fans.
There are a number of different genres of hardcore pornography, such as throating/gagging, double vaginal and prolapse anal. These genres are typically used by adults, but they can also be enjoyed by children. Children tend to be more tolerant of nudity than adults, as long as the material is appropriate for their age.
Influences Pussy Hardcore
Whether it’s feminism, anti-colonialism, or socioeconomic injustice, the politics of pussy hardcore are as raw and vital as the music itself. The genre’s bands often take the metaphorical megaphone that comes with fame seriously, bringing their political beliefs to the forefront of their work. This is evident in bands like SECT, whose grizzled growls about “the literal pandemic and the metaphorical plague of political state and fascism” sound as desperate and depressing as the album’s crusty, sludgy hardcore backdrop.
Bands like Spaced and Half-Divorced also pussy hardcore bring the political to their music without sacrificing the raw punk core of the genre. On their 2015 LP, the Buffalo group cites Gorilla Biscuits and Suicidal Tendencies as influences while incorporating post-hardcore flourishes like psychedelic effects and a more streamlined pop punk approach.
Hardcore punk acts are often connected to small, independent record labels, which provide a sense of community and an avenue for creative control. Many of these labels are run by musicians or members of the scene, operating on a DIY ethic of collaboration, financial trust, and creative control.
The DIY spirit is alive and well in the current hardcore scene, which has grown to include a variety of subgenres and scenes. Often, these labels are based out of homes or basements and operate on a tight-knit network of musician-to-musician relationships. This has helped to foster an underground ecosystem where new ideas and styles can flourish. This can be seen in the recent release of Psychic Dance Routine, a five-song EP by Scowl that flirts with static grunge while retaining the group’s primal hardcore core. The project features guest appearances by rappers Justice Tripp and MIRSY of Trapped Under Ice, Fleshwater vocalist mmph, and more, all adding to the album’s dynamic, diverse soundscape.
Labels Pussy Hardcore
In addition to working with labels like RAW and pussy hardcore Astral People, Mannequin Pussy run their own imprint, Club Madhouse. Through this label they provide a platform for femme, non-binary and ally artists to release their own gritty techno, sleaze dance and hardcore music.
While Mannequin Pussy’s musical ouevre hints at genres like punk rock, post-hardcore and ska, it’s their renegade aesthetic and inclusive representation that has given the Philadelphia band such a following. The group’s members, Missy Dabice (vocals), Kaleen Reading (drums) and Colins “Bear” Regisford (bass), have never been a fan of being pinned down or stereotyped. This refusal to fit into a certain genre has helped the band avoid the same kind of stagnation that’s plagued other punk groups in the past.
As Missy, Kaleen and Bear look over menus at pussy hardcore Great White, it’s clear that the band is taking a little time to reflect on their success so far this year. 2022 has been a hectic year for the band, with a pandemic wreaking havoc around the globe and a line-up change that saw the departure of founding member Athanasios Paul and the arrival of guitarist Maxine Steen.
More Words
But despite the chaos and uncertainty, the band’s pussy hardcore community has grown, with new fans embracing their punk ethos of refusing to put up with bullshit of any kind. As the band members glance at each other, Missy makes it abundantly clear that bigotry in any form is not welcome among her group’s fans or their wider community. This mentality has made the band a model for other bands, especially the young ones just starting out. It’s something that’s also endeared them to older punkers who may have been turned off by the scene’s more recent trend toward pussy hardcore.
